Painted in reference to Alan Yentob’s 1975 ‘Cracked Actor’ documentary on David Bowie.
Created in observation of a low resolution video copy, with details interpreted through other photos of the subject around the same time period. The image was expanded an additional 3/4th of an inch at the top and bottom from what was seen in the original video still, to adapt to the panel's proportions.
